Having spent the first 15 years of my career in the field of exports, ranging from engaging domestic factories to managing clients all across America, I have since 2007 moved over to the radically different, but wholly fulfilling work to support and engage children at risk here in India. I liaison with NGO's in the USA to help various programs that work with children at risk. My primary focus over the last decade has been to work amongst the HIV affected children and families in the North East State of Mizoram.
Milind works to provide communication rehabilitation services to clients with from cradle to grave and teaches at local universities. He is also a consultant SLT with NeuroHero Company producing clinically useful apps for people with speech and language difficulties called “talk around it”. He is currently working as a consultant SLT for a health care company in China providing quality healthcare in China and directing services.
Social Worker within diverse populations; this includes Adults with Mental Health illnesses in an outpatient setting, Survivor Advocate in a local hospital and a college, both in the United States. As well as, informal counselling and aid with migration paperwork in a refugee camp in Greece.
Sushama Nagarkar has her Doctorate in Special Education from the University of Missouri and is a nationally certified school psychologist in the US. In 2014, she set up Yash Charitable Trust, an NGO with the vision that persons with developmental disabilities will live and work in the community of their choice with dignity and self-respect. She works in an honorary capacity as the Managing Trustee. Besides this, Sushama has been a registered Rehabilitation Psychologist (RCI) and currently works as a technical consultant on a part-time basis with the Morris Foundation, Pune. She also consults with and does counseling for families of persons with disabilities. Sushama additionally has taught graduate and undergraduate level classes for U.S. universities in an on-line format. Being that she is a parent of an adult with autism, Sushama brings to her work a rather unique perspective of walking the walk and not just talking the talk. Sushama considers herself a life-long student of Yoga. Other interests include reading, trekking and the outdoors
Leela Raj currently serves as a Project Leader in Keystone Human Services International Liaison Office (KHSI-LO) or Keystone Institute India as it is more popularly known as. With a Master’s degree in Social Work, Leela has worked for close to two decades with families, people with disabilities and older adults. She has a passion for education and change agentry and is committed to collaborative work, building capacity and awareness. Leela’s work with adults with disabilities is based on a belief that they are multidimensional, they are multistoried, and that given the right opportunities and competencies, they can make meaningful contributions and lead independent lives. Leela believes in lifelong learning and is eager to contribute to and derive new learning from new possibilities that can enhance personal as well as professional growth.
Pankaj Agarwal is a Business Administration professional, qualified engineer, and VP of Supply Chain at PepsiCo. He holds global responsibility for e2e supply chain performance and optimisation for the PepsiCo beverage network spanning over multiple international markets. During his career, he has held responsibilities across operations, supply chain and program management. He has led culturally diverse, geographically distributed global teams driving transformation, growth, business strategy, and organisational establishment. He strongly believes in creating a space for everyone to feel empowered, to make decisions, and to be comfortable navigating ambiguity.
Percy Cardozo is passionate about education, mental health and disability advocacy and has spent almost three decades in this field. With a commitment to creating inclusive and enabling learning environments, her role has always been to understand and fulfill the diverse needs of stakeholders in educational institutions. Percy has done her postgraduate in psychology with a degree in teaching. She is based with Sangath, a not-for-profit mental health organisation headquartered in Goa. With more than two decades of experience in child development, adolescent health and education, she has delivered counseling services to children, adolescents and parents.
